Im just a young Afro-Caribbean male from London, who did not have it pretty growing up.
I didn’t create this brand just to make and sell clothes - I started it to also narrate a story about God, faith and self belief. Growing up, fashion was always more than something to just
wear for me. It expressed who I was, the essence of my character, without me having to say
a word. I come from very humble beginnings, and my mum not only struggled to find clothing that she
could financially afford, she also struggled to find pieces that truly felt like they represented the
right identity, our faith and the journey that I was at the very start of. Everything either
followed a trend too closely or lacked genuine meaning. She wanted something that felt real. So did I once i was older and started purchasing my own clothes -
something that reflects my roots and ambition. I am a firm believer in individuality, and the
idea that where you come from does not define where you’re destined to reach. It can only
propel you further. At 24, I’ve spent half of my life figuring out which path is mine. What path
has God ordained for me? But I’ve always known better than to question God’s divine timing.
Then, like a jigsaw puzzle, all the pieces came together in the year 2024. I started the year
off going through a hard and very pivotal time in my life. By the middle of the year, June 29th
2024, I gave my life to Christ. Two days later, on July 1st 2024, I started my clothing brand -
FIG7URES.
Two years prior to the start of FIG7URES, I became a father. My dream for my daughter is
what the majority envision for their child - stability. Security. Legacy. Roots Inherited. The list
goes on. One day FIG7URES will belong to her, and it is my duty as her father to ensure she
inherits a legacy built on consistency and faith. My background plays a huge part in shaping
my brand and its distinctive identity. I come from a place where creativity wasn’t always seen
as a traditional path, but I've always believed in building something of my own, based off of
my God given talent. The idea of FIG7URES was born while on shift working at Hilton
Hotels. I’d spend hours behind the bar, sketching variants of what I would want to be the
logo. At this point I didn’t even know it was gonna become the logo for my clothing brand, or
know that within a month of starting this venture that I’d surpass my sales target based off of
just a mock-up picture of my first released tshirts - I just knew the name alone spoke
volumes to me. FIG7URES came
to life on the first day of the seventh month, completely unplanned, but I don’t believe this to
be a coincidence. It was written for me by God, making it written for you. You may wonder
what ‘it’ is.. Success through faith, elevation, purpose and reason.
The brand was made from late nights, risk-taking, and the mindset of turning vision into
reality even when the outcome is not guaranteed. Every design is inspired by growth,
self-belief, and the everyday challenges that shape us into who we become. It's for the
individuals who are working towards something bigger - even if no one else sees it yet. This
isn’t just clothing, it’s a reminder. A reminder to stay consistent, believe in your goals, and to
represent yourself unapologetically. My goal is to create pieces that not only look good but
carry meaning - clothing that makes you feel confident in who you are and motivated in
where you are headed. When you wear FIG7URES, you’re wearing a mindset, not just
material.
